Beforus was not a world of open war, public terror, or sharpened teeth.
Under a single pink moon, its crimson plains and polished hive-clusters seemed almost impossibly safe. The streets were clean. The cities glowed softly at night. Highbloods lived under the weight of mandatory benevolence, while lowbloods were protected so completely that care began to feel like captivity.
That is the quiet cruelty at the heart of Beforan Hearts.
Beneath the paradise, resentment still grows.
Lowbloods chafe under a kindness that never asks what they actually want. Highbloods drown in boredom, rebellion, underground gossip, artistic disputes, and theatrical outrage. Imperfection is not punished in public. It is hidden politely behind closed doors, so the illusion can remain intact: everyone is safe, everyone is cared for, everyone is happy.
At the center of this velvet-lined world are twelve young trolls who have never truly learned what danger costs. They are artists, idealists, martyrs, aristocrats, and would-be rebels, masters of small dramas in a society that has forgotten how to bleed. They walk through a paradise built on borrowed time, unaware that the universe beyond Beforus will not play by their rules.
Beforan Hearts is for players who enjoy slow-burn political tension, soft dystopias, class-coded drama, strange tenderness, and worlds where cruelty wears the face of care.
The sky above Beforus does not burn. It blushes.
And that may be worse.
